WHAT IS THE VENUE AND ACCOMMODATION LIKE?
Our Retreat is at Bunrannoch House, a Victorian former-hunting lodge, just outside the quaint village of Kinloch Rannoch. It is a Grade C listed building built in 1860 which has recently undergone considerable renovation to make a comfortable Retreat location.
The house is surrounded by green fields and stunning Scottish mountain scenery and is just 5 minutes walk from the picturesque Loch Rannoch. Whilst we have exclusive use of the house, the caretaker lives in private quarters attached the house. The house is spread over 4 floors, with 7 large high-quality bedrooms on the upper two floors, all equipped with modern ensuite facilities as well as additional communal facilities on the two lower floors. Accommodation included in the Retreat standard price is based on sharing a twin bedroom with a private ensuite bathroom. All bedrooms are to a very good standard and are presented to a modern design. One set of bed linen, a hand towel and a bath towel will be provided to each participant. Rooms are spacious and have windows with a view of the beautiful surroundings. Allocation of participants to rooms is at the discretion of the organisers/hosts and will be done in the best way possible. For those who would prefer to stay in a room of their own, this is subject to availability. A single supplement of £50 per person per night will be charged (£150 for the weekend.) The house has a beautiful lounge overlooking the countryside and local mountains, where you can relax around an open fire. There is a large dining room which we will use for both eating and coaching activities. Yoga will take place in the ground floor living area, or for larger groups, in the local village hall. The small village of Kinloch Rannoch is one mile away, sitting at the eastern end of the 10-mile long Loch Rannoch. One of Scotland’s most famous munros, Schiehallion (the Fairy hill of the Caledonians) sits just behind the House. Due to its remote glen location, a range of wildlife can often be seen from the house, including deer, red squirrels and birds of prey. |
Testimonial - Kirsty irvine:"The retreat was in a stunning location and the accommodation was a beautiful house that was extremely comfortable.
As a result it was a very peaceful and restorative few days, the instructors lovely, the food was plentiful & filling, and the array of optional activities and the environment meant you really felt like you were getting away from it all." Tesimonial - GP Practice Manager"What to say… amazing scenery, fabulous walks and very relaxing (whilst still challenging) yoga sessions.
Beautiful and very comfortable accommodation with great food. Lots of time to think about, or to discuss, anything going on in your life, without any obligation to share but lots of support if needed. The perfect way to get the headspace to wind down, review and relax – if you want time out from the rat race, this is the place to come… oh, and fantastic flapjacks…” |
Wellbeing Retreat
Is There Mobile Phone Signal At the Venue?
Mobile phone coverage is patchy at best in the Retreat location. There is a landline available for participants to use and the number will be provided in the final joining instructions for you to give to anyone that may need to contact you in event of an emergency.
All communal areas will remain ‘technology-free’ zones. This is to help encourage a deeper personal focus on your self during your stay and creates a cohesive, inclusive, community environment - we like to encourage people to talk to each other! Also, an integral part of the Wellbeing Retreat is to give ourselves a rest from being surrounded by technology and the demands of communication with the outside world.
Wifi is available is the house if you do need to remain connected for any reason, although we ask you to only use technology devices in your own room and to be respectful of your room buddy if you are sharing.
